Did you know the Oxford English Dictionary lists 24 different variations of the spelling of Hanukkah? While both "Hanukkah" and Chanukah" are considered correct, "Hanukkah" is the most widely used spelling and "Chanukah" is more traditional.

Potluck And Learning With Rabbi Elana

Rabbi Elana will be leading a Tu BiShvat Seder to teach us about this joyous holiday which shows our appreciation for trees, plants, and fruits.

Create a dish to share using food from the seven species mentioned in Deuteronomy: “a land of wheat and barley, vines, figs and pomegranates, olive trees and honey.”

 Look online for Tu BiShvat recipe suggestions. 

Be creative and bring a copy of your recipe. We will copy and assemble a book of these recipes to be shared with others.

There is no charge to attend this Seder.

Join a tour of the Buck Institute followed by a speaker on women’s health issues related to aging. 

Learn about the Buck Institute's mission to end the threat of age-related disease for this and future generations. The Buck Institute seeks a more comprehensive understanding of the biology of aging itself.

The tour scheduled for January 7 is sold out. Look for an emailed invitation for the tour scheduled on January 30. 

All congregants and guests are welcome.
There is no charge to attend.

Festival of Lights with a shopping fair. 

 Come to support our local women-owned businesses and get a start on your holiday gift shopping.

We have a Tzedakah table with a sample of a finished hygiene kit and an opportunity to collect donations to make more kits to distribute to locally unhoused women.

Enjoy complimentary coffee and mimosas for all.
