Workshops: Block B 2:45 - 3:30
1. Meditation Session: "Mindfulness for Women" Rabbi Stacy Friedman
The health benefits of mindfulness and meditation have been proven, and are especially important today, amidst the chaos and uncertainty of this moment. Join together to breathe, to get grounded, and to release the stress of this day.
2. Hula Session: "History of Hula and Lesson" Presenter: Antoinette Golbus
Hula is the National Dance of the Hawaiian people, characterized by the intricate combinations of footwork, hip movements, and gestures illustrating prayers, honor songs, and historical epics. Though it can be thought of as a form of dance accompanied by song, it is more correct to say that hula is a form of narration accompanied by the movement. The hands tell the story.
